Mazurro
Mazurro is a packaging design for coffee. The design is based on a distinctive graphic pattern built on the letter M. The pattern gives the coffee bags a strong and dominant look. The minimalist geometric form and the strong contrasts help the bags stand out on store shelves. The pattern is inspired by the work of Josef Hoffmann, a founder of the Vienna Workshop, whose simple forms influenced early modernism. The bags are printed by flexographic printing. Three flavours are offered, each with a different colour and a white underprint that creates a metallic effect in selected areas.
Mazurro Coffee Packaging by SBF 19 Sp. z o.o. has been identified as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Mazurro Coffee Packaging won the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that honors superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
