Gui Ba Fang
Gui Ba Fang is a packaging design for a Chinese baijiu spirit. The design draws on the art and history of the Tang Dynasty. The theme is inspired by the account of the Tang emperor welcoming guests from many lands. Traditional calligraphy, seal cutting and Dunhuang fresco motifs are applied to the gift box and the bottle. The octagonal ceramic bottle suggests a welcome from all directions. Inside the box, an illustration shows the emperor entertaining guests. The box and the bottle can be kept and reused as decorative objects.
Gui Ba Fang Baijiu Packaging by Pufine Creative was highlighted as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Gui Ba Fang Baijiu Packaging earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
