Sky Blue
Sky Blue is a packaging design for a Chinese liquor. The bottle has a smooth, streamlined form based on the Fibonacci spiral, which gives balanced proportions and makes the bottle easy to hold and open. The cap is shaped as an eye, used as a symbol of the product. An environmentally friendly glazing process gives the glass a delicate and smooth surface and reduces harm to the environment. The blue colour recalls the aurora. The box uses a five-in-one structure that strengthens protection against counterfeiting.
Sky Blue Alcoholic Beverage Packaging by Wen Liu was recognized as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Sky Blue Alcoholic Beverage Packaging was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
