Bama Sunrise
Bama Sunrise is a packaging set designed to preserve and present Chinese tea. The theme of the design is the sunrise, a symbol of hope and beauty in China. An ancient Chinese sun totem is placed on the top of the can, with four raised round faces that symbolize abundance throughout the year. The outer box shows the sunrise scene of Mount Tai in Shandong province. The tea container is made of fired ceramic, and the outer box is made of paper and metal. The complete set measures 260 by 220 by 220 millimeters.
Bama Sunrise Can for Preserving Tea by Tang Shengxing was featured as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Bama Sunrise Can for Preserving Tea received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which celebrates superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
