Jinsha Sauce Liquor Packaging

Jinsha Sauce Liquor

Jinsha Sauce Liquor is a packaging design created for a Chinese liquor brand. The design presents the historical origins, the geographic background and the quality of the product through illustration. Ancient brewing skills and the distinctive place of production are combined and shown in the mural art style of the Han Dynasty. The front of the box is abstract and recalls Chinese ink and wash painting. Patterns of the ethnic minorities of Guizhou are also included. When the box is opened, the illustration unfolds like a picture scroll.

Fenyangwang Liquor Packaging

Fenyangwang

Fenyangwang is a liquor packaging created for the thirtieth anniversary of a Chinese distillery. The design is based on the Chinese calendar, a common tool used to record time in daily life and work. A page is torn off each day to mark the arrival of a new day. On this package, calendar pages from thirty years ago are kept in place, showing the brewing date in a retro style. The box is made of cardboard and finished with printing technology. The size is 145 by 90 by 235 millimeters. The aim is to express thirty years of experience.

The Mask that Ate the Virus Virus-eliminating Mask

The Mask that Ate the Virus

Swiss biotech company Livinguard developed a textile for reusable masks that inactivates and eliminates bacteria, fungi, and viruses (incl. Covid 19) upon impact. This idea is brought to life in the packaging: The mask comes in a sterile package. An attached plastic strip animates – when slid up and down – a graphic depiction of a virus that is getting eaten in the process, adding some urgently needed humor in desperate days. To avoid the mix up of masks among family members, and hence cross-contamination, differently colored adjustment clips come in a separate sleeve to customize each mask.

The box measures 284 by 226 by 94 millimetres and can be shipped flat to reduce transport costs. After use, the tray can hold a small bonsai on a desk. All materials are recyclable.

Cascahuin Tequila

Cascahuin

Cascahuin is a bottle designed for tequila. The mouth, ring and neck of the bottle were modified so that the sealing system works with a cork stopper. The brand icon is applied in high relief on the neck, which gives the package a characteristic seal. The glass container is produced by blow molding, with sodium-calcium glass as the base material. The stopper is made from selected natural cork grains inked with food grade vegetable pigments. The bottle measures 70 by 70 by 260 millimeters. The design takes inspiration from pre-Hispanic crafts, materials and the reading of the stars.
